A young boy tries to escape boredom in the Yorkshire countryside by forming a friendship with an outgoing, rifle wielding farm girl.
Bee Sting carries elements of inspiration from two composers. The first one is Daniel Hart's score to Light of my Life, which has a very dry tone on the strings. When listening to this, I heard the main Bee Sting melody in my head (which you hear at 2:09 in the score). I also found ideas from Marcelo Zarvos' music to Fences. The atmospheric strings help to carry the piano in "Gabriel's Trumpet" and also help it to develop and flow, which is what I tried to did in this (particularly at the start).
